Complete the Application

Provide company details, rig specifications, and operational history. All information is subject to verification.

Submit Documentation

Required documents:

  • • CR12 from the Registrar of Companies (issued within last 12 months)
  • • Current rig logbook showing maintenance and operational records
  • • Valid drilling licence from Ministry of Water and Sanitation
  • • Tax compliance certificate (where applicable)

Verification

ROA reviews all submitted documentation. We may contact the Ministry of Water and Sanitation or Registrar of Companies to verify information. Incomplete or inaccurate applications will be returned.

Approval and Payment

Upon successful verification, pay the registration fee (KShs 5,000) to complete your membership. You will receive your membership certificate and badge within 14 working days.

Eligibility Criteria

ROA membership requires demonstrated compliance with Kenyan law and industry standards. We verify all applications before approval.

Legal Registration

  • • Valid CR12 from the Registrar of Companies (current)
  • • Company must be legally incorporated in Kenya
  • • Business must be registered for drilling-related services

Ministry Licensing

  • • Current drilling licence issued by the Ministry of Water and Sanitation
  • • Licence must be valid at time of application
  • • Licence must be renewed annually to maintain ROA membership

Operational Documentation

  • • Rig logbook with maintenance records and operational history
  • • Evidence of completed projects within the past 24 months
  • • Documentation of rig specifications and capabilities

Regulatory Compliance

  • • No outstanding enforcement actions from Ministry of Water and Sanitation or NEMA
  • • Compliance with environmental regulations
  • • Valid permits for current operations

Safety Standards

  • • Demonstrated commitment to site safety
  • • Appropriate insurance coverage for drilling operations
  • • PPE provision for all site personnel

Code of Ethics

  • • Signed agreement to abide by ROA Code of Ethics
  • • Acceptance of complaint investigation and disciplinary procedures
  • • Commitment to professional conduct with clients and other members
